So Pleased to Relocate to Petersburg

My name is Suzanne Webb (AK #101538) and I launched Peace at Hand Massage Therapy in June of 2013 in Ketchikan, Alaska, then moved all operations to Petersburg in September of 2021. The launch of my business brought more peace into my own life, and I'm so grateful to be able work with my hands to share that peace with you.

Centrally located in the lovely PIA building, the well appointed massage office is luxuriously spacious as well as cozy, warm, and private.

"What Kind of Massage Do You Do?"

My work, though not readily categorizable, may best be described as back-to-basics, old fashioned, hands-on tissue manipulation, with no trademarked modalities, artificial tools, or energy work. It may be thought of as a mingling of Swedish and sports massage styles (or more of one or the other depending on client goals), that can be delivered across a wide range of pressure levels as needed. I am easily able to apply pressure levels from light to medium to firm, and on up to very deep work. Not being locked into any particular routine of steps means that my work is readily adaptable for customization.

My clients value my communication skills and the time I take to determine how to best address client goals at every visit. I am able to give 110% effort at every visit because I do not overbook myself or rush through appointments.

Massage Reimagined: Dispensing with the Typical 1 Hour "Everything" Visit

I believe that at its essence, the best part of massage is that it offers a moment of connection and relaxation. Over my decades of experience, I've found that massage at the usual one hour whole body pace merely skims the surface, bypassing fantastic opportunities to access massage's fullest potential.

As a result, I've cultivated a luxuriously slow pace that allows my unique detail-oriented talents to shine, bringing massage to the next level--from good to spectacular.

Next Level Experience

There is a magic that happens when, during a session, we are able to slow down and tune in to an area without having to watch the clock and rush to keep pace. Clients reach a deeper state of relaxation when we're not racing around from area to area. This allows us to instead sink into each passing moment together as a team.

Clients often fall asleep on the massage table, or when they do stay awake they are amazed by the new sensations they experience. They feel great relief when we take the time to really zero in on all the different surfaces and angles of areas of stress and tension that would otherwise get glossed right over.

Then when we do reach that moment when the session ends, clients can't believe how fast it went, and they aren't ready yet for it to be over. The same holds true even for me, because I love what I do and no matter how much time we have to work together, I always think of more ideas of things to try than there ever is time allotted to do them all.

Flexibility to Try New Things

If you're not sure exactly how long of a massage you'd like to try, that is ok because we could be flexible about timing. I don't book clients back to back on a tight schedule, so there is usually some flexibility built in for revising the plan as the session unfolds.

I welcome open-ended appointments for undecided clients because it can be hard to predict how a session will unfold, and I'd be happy to accompany you on a journey through the unknown. But for maximum flexibility in timing, please try to request this option in advance.

Let's Work Together

Whether you are seeking to simply relax and unwind, have a specific treatment need, are pregnant and achy, or have a massage prescription for a medical condition, I'd love to work with you!

I can be reached a variety of ways: by voicemail, text message, email, or website inquiry. Please allow up to 48 hours for a returned phone call, or up to 24 hours for a returned text message, website inquiry, or email.
